 Assessment Criteria

Your teacher will provide you with a scoring rubric which outlines in detail the criteria your report and debate performance will be scored by.  Click the headings below to see the detailed rubrics.  In general, here are the criteria:

 

The Report

 

1 Quality of information - is your argument supported well by your evidence?

2 Amount of information - are you providing more than just durface details?

3 Sources - did you list and cite the sources you used in your report?

Organization - is your report well-structured?

Mechanics - grammar, spelling and punctuation.

 

The Debate

 

1 Information - are you clear and complete in your use of researched information?

2 Rebuttal - are you able to provide clear and focused counterarguments?

3 Presentation style - are you engaging in your presentation?

4 Respect for other team - is your language and attitude towards others appropriate?
